Adult Religious Education

The Adult Religious Education Committee of St. Vincent de Paul Church recently polled parishioners to find out what topics would be of most interest and attended. As a result, we are currently offering an educational video series on Prayer and Sacraments. These subjects will be presented by Father John Corapi most commonly recognized by his talks on Catholic television station, EWTN. This major series on our Catholic Faith and the Teaching of Jesus Christ is Father Corapi’s greatest work of teaching and preaching. Pope John Paul II called it the benchmark for all Catholic doctrinal and moral teaching.

Please plan on attending come or all of the most informative and definitive lecture series produced to date and presented in video by one of the Church’s premier teachers and preachers, Father John Corapi

PRAYER . . .
-what is it?
-in the fullness of time
-in the age of the church
-in traditions of
-guides for
-the life of
-the Lord’s

Sacraments. . .
-what are they?
-how are they celebrated?
-who can receive them?
-why are they necessary?
-how do they effect me?
-what are indulgences?
-what are the three degrees of the sacrament of Holy Orders?
-and their other intricate details?

For me, prayer is a surge of the heart, it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.
-Saint Therese of Lisieux

The sharing in the divine nature given to men through the grace of Christ bears a certain likeness to the origin, development, and nourishing of natural life.
-Paul VI, apostolic constitution, Divine consortium
