Learning & Living Faith

St. Vincent School provides its students with the tools they need to begin building a better future for themselves and for others by helping them understand what it means to believe in God, and then put that belief into practice. Everything at St. Vincent de Paul School is based on the central message of Jesus Christ in the Gospel — love of God, self and one another. Religion is taught daily in each classroom with an emphasis on Catholic doctrine, sacraments, scripture, prayer and service to others. Students begin each week with the celebration of the Mass, which they help plan. Each Friday the entire school, preschool through 6th grade, gathers to attend a prayer service planned by one of the classes. The pastor also visits each classroom on a regular basis. The faith life at St. Vincent School is supported by a positive program of student discipline that encourages mutual respect, kindness and concern for others. Awareness and appreciation of the needs of others is fostered by participation in periodic and on-going community service projects.
