Altar Serving at St. Vincent's
Altar servers assist priests and deacons with celebrating Mass and at times using incense for the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Altar serving is a way in which one can serve the Lord because your service is first directed to God and secondly to the clergy.
Carry
Carry the cross, processional candles, incense and censer.
Hold
The Missal for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar.
Present
Present the bread, wine and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts.
